Get In Shapril!
Get your improv in shape this April at my free online drop-in workshops for adults. Three sessions a day every Thu/Fri/Sat! Come to just one or as many as you’d like. Each session is scheduled to run 45 minutes
If you’re in the Pacific Daylight Time zone like me, the sessions start at:
10am, 4pm, 6pm
Eastern Daylight Time: 1pm, 7pm, 9pm
Greenwich Mean Time: 6pm, 11pm, 1am
New Zealand Daylight (+1 day): 6am, 12pm, 2pm
NZ Standard (starts April 5) (+1 day): 5am, 11am, 1pm

Session 1 (10am PDT)
Technique du Jour
A 45-minute workshop where we’ll focus on a different improv technique each day and put it into practice right away
Session 2 (4pm PDT)
Straight-up Scenework
All scenework no warm-ups, a 45-minute workshop full of two-person scenes with me side-coaching to help you get the most out of them
Session 3 (6pm PDT)
Jam
Jams are playtime, your chance to improvise with friends and strangers for 45min. The way I’ll run these jams makes it easy for you to jump in, even if you’re a beginner. Descriptions below:
Thursday Short-Form Jam
We’ll play short-form improv games similar to what you might see on the popular TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, and I’ll introduce simple rules at the beginning of each game so you don’t need to study anything ahead of time
Friday FAFO Jam
An experimental night of play where we try to solve improv while breaking it along the way. Players will propose experiments they think might lead to interesting results and we’ll mess around and find out
Saturday Plug-And-Play Jam
I’ll lead everyone through a simple Harold structure, but no need to know the form ahead of time because I’ll tell you what to do at the start of each scene
